Description
Purnima is only sixteen years old. After the death of her mother, like all Indian women her age, she waits for her father to choose a husband for her. But when she meets Savita, she realizes that there is another life beyond a marriage filled with cruelty and contempt. They were born condemned to a lifetime of suffering in incredible poverty - like all women in small Indian villages. It doesn't matter if she is a sister, a wife, or a mother.
