Description
The story of this book is based on the life experiences of Yuri C. Feynberg, who is one of the last living children to have gone through the Gulag. Although he was not one of the prisoners, he spent part of his childhood behind barbed wire in a remote Siberian forced labor camp where his mother worked as a doctor. As the only child, he lived among Stalin's political prisoners, serious criminals, and guards. Thanks to his extraordinary experiences in the Gulag, he became a strong personality with an indomitable character that allowed him to excel in Soviet special forces, survive prosecution in the Soviet Union, and overcome painful personal tragedies without losing his humanity.
