Description
The second installment in the series featuring Inspector Karin Adler. On Marstrand Island, near the Carlsten Fortress, a headless body has been found. On the same day, another horrific discovery occurs in the town - a head hangs on a grate, with its nose cut off. The investigation into these unusual murders is assigned to Inspector Karin Adler. They prove to be quite complicated, especially after the forensic doctor discovers that the found head does not belong to the headless body - meaning there are two murders. But soon it becomes clear that there are already three, when the police in Gothenburg receive news of another gruesome find. All the victims were killed in a manner reminiscent of how women accused of witchcraft were tortured in the Middle Ages.
