Another volume of the Zmizelé Čechy edition recalls, in words and images, the vanished face of the historical center of the city of Plzeň. When readers think of "vanished Plzeň," they probably envision primarily the form of the city that was erased by a massive wave of demolitions and the construction of new apartment buildings at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. However, there is not just one "vanished Plzeň." The city, as a living organism, has transformed throughout its existence. This volume will be followed by another part dedicated to the city's neighborhoods outside the historical center. The author's texts are accompanied by over 180 unique archival photographs.
