Description
The book, which loosely follows the author's successful "noble trilogy," tells the stories of the descendants of six Czech noble families who have been actively participating in Czech society again since 1989 or regularly returning. The difficulties associated with returning from forced internal or foreign emigration are depicted through the stories of Franziska Diana Sternberg, Pavlína Bořek-Dohalská, Mathilda Nosticová, descendants of the Kolowrat-Krakowský, Podstatský-Lichtenštejn from Velké Meziříčí, Valdštejn from Třebíč, and the story of Ing. Jaroslav Cuhra, a dissident and post-revolutionary MP who was at the forefront of the restitution of noble property.
