Description
The life of the poetess Suzanne Renaud (1889–1964) is inseparably linked to Petrkov, the home of the man she married in 1926 in Grenoble. This captivatingly narrated story of the intersection of two completely different worlds, that of Suzanne Renaud in France and Bohuslav Reynek in the Vysočina region, is complemented by a rich visual appendix. A testament to the delicate thread that bound Suzanne Renaud to Czechoslovakia is a collection of late poems, which burst forth during the years of the most difficult exile behind the walls of the Petrkov estate, translated by Jiří Reynek and published here for the very first time in Czech.
