Description
At the very border of the Třeboň Basin and the Vlašim Highlands lies a town with a distinctly non-Czech name, Tábor. The next volume of the Vanished Bohemia series discusses the transformations of this South Bohemian settlement, which is most often associated by historians with the period of the Hussite Wars, but also, for example, with the successes of the young Czechoslovak Republic in the second decade of the 20th century. Thus, Tábor remains a vibrant city but also a witness to both old and more recent history of Bohemia. The accompanying text by historian Zdeněk Vybíral is complemented by nearly one hundred and fifty unique photographs from the collections of the Šechtl and Voseček Museum.
