Description
The second part of the story from the hidden life of sock-eaters unfolds along two lines that gradually intertwine and often get properly tangled. 'A grotesque little band of thieves and sock-eaters' / Petr Matoušek in the review Lichožroutská groteska - November 28, 2008, Hospodářské noviny / returns to the scene at a moment when a certain idyll ends, and more dangers, secrets, and betrayals enter their fates. The mocked Hihlík, who grew into a hero during the first part, leaves the City to find his parents in Africa. After numerous adventures, he succeeds, but he must overcome the schemes of the mysterious sock-eater Bona, who has imprisoned his 'missionary' parents to become the sock ruler over the entire black continent. Hihlík's ingenuity and humor must contend not only with Bona but also with magic: to uncover the secret of the Black Sock! Fortunately, he won't be alone. His loyal friends, the expert on the world of sock-eaters Professor Kadeřábek and his cousin Ramík, who must temporarily leave the 'battlefield' of the City, where the wild sock-eater Kudla Dederon has once again taken leadership in the Lower Quarter, are coming to Africa to join him, despite being considered definitively written off. Thus, the final act of the grotesque and the adventurous saga will once again take place at home.
