Globalization as a long-term developmental process requires increasingly active involvement of states in the world economic system. The book provides a current view of insurance as both a standalone and a cross-cutting economic sector in a globalized environment. The author focuses on regulation and supervision in the European Union and in the Czech Republic, compares different market environments, points out their advantages and disadvantages, and focuses on common features representing the principles for assessing the level of regulation of individual states and their expected development.
