Description

Perenda is a strange, originally forest creature (neither completely human nor completely animal), most likely a giant, definitely of the male gender. He is slightly mature, but not old, even though he has lived for several decades, perhaps hundreds of years. No one knows for sure. At first glance, he is more repulsive than likable, he exudes a bit of horror, and if he unexpectedly appears before someone in all his size, he will most likely scare them to death. He gets along much better with children than with adults. He is somewhat of a tease, a big lover of pranks, and because he doesn’t suffer from prejudices, he can name things by their true names (even when it’s completely inappropriate). One day, he finds a forgotten backpack in his home forest. And in the forgotten backpack, a book about old Prague full of unseen creatures, ghosts, and monsters (perhaps even scarier than Perenda appears to himself). This immensely intrigues him. And so he immediately begins to look for a way to visit that mysterious city. How else but in the mushroom-picking basket of little Otýlie, who lives in an old house in Malá Strana, where night specters abound...
