The fourth volume of the book series Players is a faithful reflection of our society. It is a whirlwind of twists and unexpected events, secrets of things and people. Gamba-Bobánek is what Grandma and Grandpa call Bobina when she misbehaves, trying to discipline her in both conventional and unconventional ways. Gamba unexpectedly falls in love with her classmate Žorž and feels that he must belong to her. This is not entirely true. Háčka is her great friend but also a rival. She too strives for the love of the wealthy and smart classmate Žorž – Jiří Nekola, who after a traffic accident began to be called Modrásek or Fifth Indigo. In a moment of weakness, Háčka unexpectedly confesses to Bobina: "I must admit, nostalgia has left me and my eyes have opened. My perspective has broadened, and I see the world completely differently now. I understand that a person's thought processes change incredibly quickly. I regret it, but it is due to realization and also a rearrangement of life values. What was first is now second or last, and what I didn't even have in the register of living has become a priority. It dawned on me that when a person gains a broader outlook, they shouldn't erase the traces of their life and throw them into the bin of forgetfulness."
