Description

Lieutenant Colonel Sharpe is weary of war after Waterloo and desires nothing more than to leave the army for good and return home. Fate, however, has other plans, and Sharpe finds himself once again in Wellington's schemes to complete the victory, which lead him to Paris. The Duke asks him to track down the organization La Fraternité, which is plotting an assassination against him, and Sharpe, under the pretense of arranging the return of stolen paintings stored in the Louvre, goes back into battle, this time on a different battlefield than he is used to.
