My děti ze stanice ZOO – Christiane F. (2019)

Today, an adult Christiane F. first encountered hashish at the age of twelve in an evangelical youth center, and at thirteen, heroin at a disco. She soon became addicted to drugs, attending school during the day and, in the afternoons, earning money for drugs through prostitution with her friends who were also addicts at the Zoo station. Her mother was unaware of her daughter's double life for almost two years. Christiane F. narrates with admirable precision and disarming openness about the fates of children whose stories the public only learns about through newspaper headlines announcing their deaths. Christiane F.'s story repeats daily anywhere in the world.
