And here we can explore the most uncharted landscape over and over again. Our homeland is beautifully defined by a special circular rampart of border mountains. The basin of Bohemia, enclosed by this ring, is a self-contained world, while the wide valleys of Moravia open up like an embrace. People have learned to live and farm in this landscape for so long that they have created a space they began to call the Garden.
