Mercy Thompson 7 - Spálená mrazem – Briggs Patricia (2013)

Mercy Thompson's life has undergone a fundamental change. When she became the mate of Adam Hauptman – the charismatic alpha of the local werewolf pack – she also became the stepmother of his daughter Jesse. This relationship brings blessed moments of normalcy into Mercy's life. But on the edge of humanity, a small incident on an otherwise normal day can turn into something much larger. After a traffic accident in busy traffic, Mercy and Jesse cannot reach Adam – in fact, anyone from the pack. They have all been kidnapped. Through their bond, Mercy knows that Adam is angry and suffering. The werewolves are fighting a political battle for public acceptance, and Mercy fears that Adam's disappearance may be related to her – and that he and the entire pack are in great danger. Mercy faces a much more powerful adversary and is on her own – she may be forced to accept help from any ally, no matter how unlikely.
