After the death of the legendary knight Huma, the minotaur Kaz wanders the lands of Ansalon. Pursued by his own relatives for an alleged crime, he finds that he has been declared an outlaw by the Knights of Solamnia as well. However, he does not know why. Kaz is therefore searching for the truth. Magic and betrayal attack him at every turn, but it ultimately turns out that the most dangerous threat comes from the ghosts of the past...
