Česko Slovensko 100 let republiky 1:950 000 (2018)

The establishment of the Czechoslovak Republic in 1918 is undoubtedly one of the most important milestones in our modern history. For the 100th anniversary, a number of publications and materials have been created and will surely continue to be created, which will present this significant jubilee from many perspectives and analyze it much more thoroughly. We have decided to look at the years 1918 to 2018 from a perspective that is closest to us, through maps. In the title we present to you, we have attempted to map significant events of the past 100 years and place them in specific locations on a clear map of Czechoslovakia and other state entities that existed and exist on its territory. We also paid attention to territorial changes that occurred, especially in the early years of the independent state. Such a clearly processed and thoroughly explained map is a unique endeavor. Particularly interesting topics, such as the national composition during the First Republic, the built line of fortifications in the border areas, the occupation from 1939 to 1945, or the Slovak National Uprising, are dedicated to separate maps.
