The title is another part of a comprehensive series of historical atlases intended for the second stage of elementary schools and multi-year gymnasiums. It covers the period from 1918 to the present. The introductory section is dedicated to the political, economic, and military cooperation of states around the world, while the political and cultural development in Europe and non-European areas is depicted in timelines. The map section consists of 10 sections. Each includes a brief characterization of the given period, working questions, colored historical maps, colored illustrations of architecture, science, art, and photographs of significant personalities. The atlas concludes with a selective index of names.
