Description
Professor Otto Lidenbrock discovers an old book that hides a coded manuscript written in runes. It describes a journey leading to the center of the Earth. The professor embarks on this journey with his nephew Axel and guide Hans. They descend into the depths of the Earth through a volcano's throat, discover underground seas, traverse geological periods, and observe the evolution of life in areas whose existence many scientists doubt. They witness the struggle of dangerous prehistoric monsters, and their experience clashes with many scientific theories about the impossibility of life underground. They find a rare prehistoric burial site that conceals many groundbreaking discoveries. Several times they find themselves in life-threatening danger due to a terrifying storm, lack of water, and dangerous creatures. They return to the surface thanks to a volcanic eruption that brings them back with the flowing lava. They did not reach the center of the Earth, but their journey convinced skeptical scientists of the possibility of life beneath the Earth's surface.
