Description
This Czech-language science-fiction novel follows John F. Kovář as he travels to the far north, into the heart of Alaska, to find an old agency base. He knows how to deal with the harsh wilderness, barren snow-covered plains occupied by icy winds and deadly predators. Hungry wolf packs, however, are not the greatest danger awaiting him. The real threats are alcohol dealers, ruthless prospectors, heartless robbers and treacherous murderers trying to grow rich at the expense of others. On his journey to save his friend’s life, JFK must face the human scum whom Alaska’s honest inhabitants call the cruel wolves of the north.
