Description

No Czech author has come as close to the work of Philip K. Dick as Zdeněk Páv, which is all the more remarkable given that at the time he wrote most of his stories, we practically did not know Dick in Czechoslovakia, and mainly because the life outlooks of both authors differed in almost every way. While Dick was a 'crazy' person in normal society, Zdeněk Páv was a 'normal person' imprisoned in a mad country. Philip K. Dick questioned reality as such, while Zdeněk Páv exposed the 'virtual' reality produced by the absurd regime as a lie. A collection of nineteen of his stories can be read in such a way that you let yourself be swept away by the author's unbridled imagination, a kaleidoscope of crazy situations, or you can seek something more behind all of it, sharing the responsibility and effort of creation equally with him.
