Láska hledá adresáta – Ešner Antonín (2025)

Fourteen-year-old Jiří experiences his first love a bit differently than most of his peers. He falls romantically in love with thirteen-year-old Eva, as he is raised by his mother to be. His father has no sense for romance; he is a realist. Jiří associates his love for the forest with the girl of his heart. It is here that an unexpected resolution occurs when the girl's father beats him almost to unconsciousness.

However, he is prepared to sacrifice anything to become a man with a gun in the woods, to take care of it and the wildlife, to live alone somewhere in a lodge with a dog and the chosen woman who will understand his vocation. He therefore enrolls in a forestry vocational school. The reality is even harsher than his father described. There is a strict regime, hard work, almost without rest, and his dream begins to show serious cracks.

Getting into a secondary forestry school means not only good grades but also indispensable connections. He experiences many adventures here and, along with his classmates, also encounters bullying. The story takes place during the time of Soviet occupation.

Nevertheless, something happens to Jiří that he never expected. He falls in love with a Russian girl who works in a nearby town at the castle as a nurse in a medical supplies warehouse. He secretly meets with her. However, Věra warns him that meeting...
