Description
Cvokhauz, or as we say in Czech, a madhouse, is in the usual sense a treatment facility for individuals with mental disabilities, and there is nothing cheerful or laughable about it. Žantovský's Cvokhauz, however, is a metaphor capturing our illustrious present, full of absurd regulations from the European Union, campaigns from various pressure 'non-profit' organizations, and efforts to promote the idea of a multi-gendered world where you can just as easily be a man, a woman, a chair, or a potato, as long as you claim equal rights. It is no wonder that this world appears to (not only) the author as an 'ark of fools,' where all traditional laws dictated by nature, history, and culture cease to apply, are questioned, and when someone invokes them, they are labeled at least as a reactionary, if not worse.
