Description
The Moravian Brethren have become more widely known to the public in recent years, as historians and authors of non-fiction have begun to delve more deeply into both the specific events following the Battle of White Mountain and the activities of our compatriots around the world. This church has a very rich history, reaching back to the Unity of the Brethren, John Amos Comenius, and other significant figures. They focused primarily on missionary work across all continents, including even the most inhospitable corners, such as Greenland. Nevertheless, information about the Moravian Brethren usually appears only as minor chapters attached to other topics. Tatiana Březinová's book is thus one of the few publications that thoroughly addresses them, describing the history of their origin, the lives of significant personalities, and their missionary activities worldwide. It is an important piece of the mosaic of Czech history.
