The book presents, for the first time in our country, a complete history of cup competitions in the territory of the Czech Republic. It details the course of the Czechoslovak and Czech Cups, but goes deeper into history, all the way to the very first cup match played in the Czech lands. That date is March 21, 1909, when Novoměstský SK faced SK Letná in the Charity Cup. While many books already focus on league competitions, none have addressed the cup until now. The publication is divided into three periods and six chapters. The first era covers the years 1909 to 1960 and includes four chapters titled Charity Cup, Central Bohemian Cup, Years of Occupation, and Period of Trials and Errors. The second era is dedicated to the Czechoslovak Cup and, of course, to national cups in both the Czech Republic and Slovakia, describing the years 1961 to 1993. The third era deals with the Czech Cup from 1994, that is, from the establishment of independent Czechia. The advantage of this extensive publication is its clarity, ensured by a uniform graphic design. Each cup year has the same format - text providing detailed, often spicy information about the course of the competition, complete results service from the first rounds to the finals, and also, in the overwhelming majority, a photograph of the winning team.
