Description
During World War II, a team of Czech doctors operated in China. This little-known fact inspired me to write the novel 'China, My Love.' Part of the largest war conflict in human history was also the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937-1945), in which around 15 million Chinese lost their lives. The novel is loosely inspired by the fates of a small team of Czech doctors and other personnel who worked in far-off China during World War II. The story itself is a symbolic thank you to all foreign doctors, not just Czechs, who helped the Chinese nation in its merciless fight against Japanese aggressors.
