Ichak Adizes's book is not among the very newest; it was originally published quite some time ago, yet it has not been translated into Czech until today and does not lose much of its relevance. In fact, perhaps such a perspective is needed now more than ever in times of crisis. It is a significant contribution to the discussion on business management theory. Unlike many others, Adizes does not focus on the manager as an individual; rather, he places primary attention on the appropriate composition of the team. He does not shy away from individual characteristics, but he does not believe in the existence of an ideal - 'textbook manager.' Additionally, he devotes considerable attention to the life cycles of organizations. The selection of suitable leaders from these phases of company development also stems from this. It is logical that a dynamically developing young organization with 10 employees requires a different leadership style than that suitable for a multinational corporation employing thousands of people. The text also briefly addresses the diagnosis of the 'health status' of organizations and further treatment of their ailments. It offers several unconventional solutions but does not provide a clear guide that would work for everyone at any time.
