Description
Everyone has heard of the Štěchovice treasure at least once in their life. After all, the media fills the news with stories about its search at least once a year. But what is the reality of this treasure of unknown value? What is the story of its search and, of course, its storage? What actually happened in the years immediately after World War II, when the British-American-French mission retrieved the so-called 'Frank Archive,' which essentially stole it from the Czechoslovak government? Václav Junek, in his book, attempts to prove through evidence and logical hypothesis that the so-called Štěchovice treasure was one of the last tricks of Nazi leaders, just like the Alpine fortress. That the Frank Archive was merely a bait for intelligence services and other security agencies, which ultimately succeeded. And last but not least, that everything surrounding this treasure is shrouded in a multitude of ambiguities and blank spots that need answers. However, the author does not present his hypotheses as unequivocal facts, but as a path to the reader's own opinion.
