His penetrating intellect embarks on journeys that transcend and connect continents and religions – by comparing Indian traditions with Hinduism, Shintoism, Islam, Buddhism, and, last but not least, Christianity, he arrives at surprising conclusions. Yet he does not skim the surface; his theses are not cheap; on the contrary: his writing is filled with humility and a deep understanding of the most fundamental divine principle. The reader will soon realize that Schuon was not just a comparative religionist but a mystic in the true sense of the word.
