How did three young men convince Uncle Kim that his pig was a spirit? The answers to these seemingly unusual questions can be found in the fairy tales, fables, parables, and instructive stories that the author heard, learned, and recorded or slightly retold during his stay in the Kingdom of Cambodia. Štěpán Kuchlei (1980) worked for several years in anthropological field research – collecting fables and folk legends in Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, and Myanmar. He now lives and works in Brno.
