Description
Summer holidays are starting, but Edda is not looking forward to them at all. Due to her father's new job, she has to spend them out of town, in a little village called Skálholt, which was once one of the two seats of Icelandic bishops and a significant cultural center. As if that weren't enough, Edda is tasked with looking after her younger half-brother Úlf. The expectedly boring summer stops being boring the moment someone steals a precious antique jewel from Edda's grandmother, a renowned archaeologist. Thus, the step-siblings Úlf and Edda decide to track down the thief and recover the valuable ring for their grandmother. In pursuit of the suspect, they discover a secret underground passage beneath the Skálholt church that leads them into a completely different world: a world of Norse gods, giants, mythical creatures, and magic. The children face a series of often dangerous adventures in their quest for the stolen item. Will they manage to catch the thief? And how will they get back home?
