Description
The megalithic rows at Carnac are the best-preserved stone avenues in the world, containing just over 3,000 stone blocks today. They are also very old – recent research dated the excavation of the foundations for one giant menhir to the 7th millennium BC. There are no written or orally transmitted mentions of the people who erected these stone monuments. Nevertheless – or perhaps precisely because of this – their constructions still evoke wonder. And they are slowly revealing their ancient secrets. This small book, accompanied by a number of illustrations and diagrams, seeks to answer the key question: who built these stone rows and for what purpose.
