Description
This Czech-language publication, prepared by leading expert Petr Luňák, contains 14 unique documents from Czech military archives, chiefly war plans of the Czechoslovak People’s Army and their summaries covering the years 1950 to 1990. The collection opens with Luňák’s study, which places the documents in their historical context. Appendices include a recently discovered 1961 document concerning the lowering of the Vltava’s water level in the event of conflict, as well as interviews with Czechoslovak generals conducted between 2002 and 2004.
