Description
An interview with Adriena Šimotová attempts to glimpse into the way of thinking of our leading visual artist, an extraordinarily resilient woman who has faced many hardships in life. Her artistic handwriting is so original that even in the 21st century, she is as recognizable and memorable as great artists from the last century like Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, or our Jiří Kolář. The book is divided into three parts; the first seeks to answer the question of how the image comes to Ms. Šimotová and how and when she bids farewell to it. The second part revolves around the question of how one should look at a painting, especially when it is abstract. The third part then seeks answers to the questions of who an artist is and what can be taught in art.
