Description
The Pojechali 1 teaching set is intended for the first stage of initial Russian language instruction. The first volume covers the pre-cyrillic and cyrillic periods and should be covered in approximately one school year. The individual lessons in the pre-cyrillic period focus on familiarizing students with the phonetic aspect of the language, with students acquiring basic vocabulary through listening, using pictures as a starting point for speech situations. The cyrillic period begins with an introduction to the graphic form of the language - the cyrillic alphabet. The set includes a workbook, which serves as a tool for written practice. In the pre-cyrillic period, only the left side of the pages is initially used; students will write on the right once they are familiar with the cyrillic alphabet. They will then return to the pictures they drew themselves.
