This Czech-language history workbook on prehistory and antiquity follows the chapters of the textbook, with questions and tasks based on the material covered there. It can be used at school for reviewing the subject matter, for revision, at home, and for practising independent expression. Alongside questions and exercises, it includes timelines, fill-in activities and other tasks through which pupils can learn something new. Its arrangement helps pupils orient themselves in the material, including those who have missed lessons. Some exercises require a school atlas, a history atlas or other sources, while selected tasks extending beyond the textbook are clearly marked. The workbook is part of a three-part history textbook set, consisting of a textbook, workbook and teacher’s guide for each historical period. The series is designed in accordance with the Czech Framework Educational Programme, treating the subject matter as a means of developing expected learning outcomes and key competences. The texts and accompanying teaching materials reflect many years of teachers’ experience, modern approaches to education and teaching, cross-curricular topics and interdisciplinary connections.
