Description
This Czech-language activity book for preschool children introduces the changes in nature throughout the year, folk customs and the changing work in the garden during each season. Vítek and Eliška guide children through the book as they learn, among other things, how animals prepare for winter in autumn and why leaves on trees are green. In winter, they bring hay to the feeding racks for roe deer with the gamekeeper, in spring they help their grandmother in the garden, and in summer they watch the stars in the sky with their grandfather. The book contains many engaging activities that expand children’s knowledge of nature while practising their fine motor skills and attention. The cover flaps feature a calendar drawn by illustrator Vendula Hegerová that children can cut out.
