Description
A child aged 3 to 6 months begins to differentiate colors more. The child's visual acuity remains low. The illustrations in the book should not be too detailed. At this age, a child sees somewhat differently than an adult: • A child achieves adult-like visual acuity after reaching 12 months of age. • They prefer outlines and contrasts. • They begin to distinguish colors, especially the primary ones: red, green, yellow, and blue. • They look longer at pictures where the elements are placed closer together. • They enjoy looking at human faces or parts of them. Remember! At 4 to 5 months, they reach out to objects they see, and at 5 to 6 months, they try to grasp them. If the child looks away, they are tired and need to rest.
