Mycosis fungoides is a serious malignant disease with difficult diagnosis and treatment. It is the most common form of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. The disease primarily affects the skin, but over time it can progress to internal tissues and organs. Despite relatively visible skin symptoms, the disease often remains undiagnosed or misdiagnosed for a long time. Most cases occur in individuals over 20 years old and are more common in men than in women. The publication aims to fill a gap in Czech professional literature and contribute to both improved diagnosis and therapy. The main author is a renowned expert in the field of radiotherapy for mycosis fungoides, MUDr. Miluše Dolečková, who works in the oncology department of the Hospital in České Budějovice.
