The development of pharmacotherapy in recent decades has given treating physicians previously unimagined options for choice - practically for every diagnosis, we have a greater number of drug groups available and within most of them, more options for choosing the active substance or preparation. However, this also exposes many doctors to stress from possible incorrect choices. The previous three editions of this book were always sold out quickly, and it is already clear that it has significantly influenced therapeutic practices in neurology in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The rapid development of new substances and the changing situation in the pharmaceutical market have now necessitated the preparation of another, already fourth edition, which is again published in the successful series Modern Pharmacotherapy.
