Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a highly valuable and widely used diagnostic method for examining the vitreous, vitreoretinal interface, retina, and choroid. Without understanding the essence of the examination, the ability to adequately choose the ideal scanning patterns, and mastering the correct interpretation of OCT examinations, the potential of this modern diagnostic method cannot be fully utilized. Today, OCT significantly helps to increase the sensitivity and specificity in diagnosing the entire spectrum of retinal pathologies, enhances the quality of therapeutic decision-making, and allows for precise monitoring of treatment outcomes. The third revised and supplemented edition of this publication comes to the market shortly after the first two editions, which are now unavailable. The text of the book has been revised, and it includes a new chapter on the intraoperative use of OCT technology, and we have again supplemented each chapter with new case studies.
