Neuroanestezie a základy neurointenzivní péče – group of authors (2020)

A multidisciplinary collective of authors from among neurosurgeons, neurologists, radiologists, intensivists, and anesthesiologists continues to strive to provide a comprehensive view, especially on the issues of neuroanesthesia and neurocritical care, in the 2nd edition of the publication. The first part of the publication is dedicated to the history of neurosurgery, neuroanesthesia, and perioperative care. Selected chapters on the anatomy and physiology of the CNS are followed by the surgical section, which deals with various types of surgical procedures. The authors dedicate a separate chapter to the interaction of drugs and the CNS. Other chapters describe the possibilities of clinical and instrumental examination and monitoring of the nervous system. A separate chapter addresses neuroradiology, including interventional neuroradiology. Chapters dedicated to anesthesia in neurosurgical procedures discuss preoperative preparation, various types of procedures with anesthetic specifics, and the most common complications or deviations that an anesthesiologist may encounter during the surgical procedure. The updated edition includes a new chapter on pediatric neuroanesthesia.
