The third book in the series of successful guides for doctors and their patients. Since the first Practical Guide, the number of treated diabetics in the Czech Republic has increased by more than 100,000, and there are also more patients with diabetes who are still unaware of their condition. Overall, the number has already exceeded 1 million. On the other hand, the good news is that every year new very effective medications come to market, and technologies are rapidly evolving that not only improve the level of treatment but also enhance the quality of life for patients. There is currently an abundance of information about diabetes, but many texts suffer from a lack of comprehensibility for laypeople. This was precisely the impetus for the creation of this book. Its excellent clarity is further enhanced by the fact that a larger portion of the text was originally intended for a patient internet server, and the author received a significant number of responses from patients within the online medical advisory service. The most common and beneficial of these questions and answers are also included in the book.
