Description
The loosening of total endoprostheses is a significant problem in modern orthopedics. At the root of this condition is the mass adoption of total endoprostheses (especially of the hip joint), which has subsequently shifted the focus to revision surgeries of total replacements of large joints. Following the successful publication of "Revision Surgery of Total Hip Joint Replacements" (Landor, Vavřík, Gallo, Sosna et al. – the book was awarded the prestigious Hlávka Prize and significantly influenced surgical practice in orthopedics in the Czech Republic), a similar publication dedicated to knee joint replacements is now being prepared. The author team, composed of leading Czech orthopedists and experts from other medical professions, has now created an extensive monograph dedicated to revision surgeries after total knee joint replacements. The book is designed as a practical guide for orthopedists – from causes, through surgical instructions, to solutions for potential further complications.
