Description
Malignant brain tumors are among the 20 most common malignant tumors in the Czech Republic, and the incidence of this disease continues to rise. Diagnosis and treatment strategies, especially postoperative care and treatment of recurrences, must be determined by a multidisciplinary team, typically consisting of a neurosurgeon, radiation and clinical oncologist, diagnostician, and neurologist, and addressed with consideration of all risk factors, including the overall condition of the patient. The success of the book Gliomas (Maxdorf 2013) led the authors to prepare a second volume of this clinically much-needed publication. The text of the second volume is also richly supplemented with visual documentation.
