Praktická plicní chirurgie – Hytych Vladislav (2016)

Over the past 20 years, lung surgery has become one of the main surgical fields. This is the result of previously unimaginable medical and technical advances, as well as the demands placed on lung surgery. Following the successful publications "Minimum Lung Surgery – Step by Step" (V. Hytych et al., Maxdorf 2013) and "Lung Surgery in Instructional Case Studies" (V. Hytych, A. Tašková, M. Vašáková et al., Maxdorf 2014), a team of lung surgeons from Thomayer Hospital, led by MUDr. Alice Tašková and doc. MUDr. Vladislav Hytych, Ph.D., prepared a new monograph titled "Practical Lung Surgery." The book summarizes the basics of chest anatomy, principles of preoperative examination, anesthesia in lung operations, perioperative and postoperative care, while the main sections contain detailed descriptions of individual surgeries with brief characteristics, indications, familiarize with the examination procedure, patient positioning and access, anesthesia, and complications. The actual description of the surgery is supplemented with illustrations and photographs. Each chapter also includes highlighted boxes with essential information, warnings, and interesting facts.
