Description
The book Minimum in Thoracic Surgery is intended for surgeons, traumatologists, pulmonologists, novice thoracic surgeons, and undergraduate and postgraduate students. The individual chapters cover the entire field of thoracic surgery, from special and surgical anatomy to preoperative examinations and anesthesia preparation, as well as the operation itself, with postoperative care being an integral part. The main part of the book consists of descriptions of individual surgeries with brief characteristics, indications, patient positioning or access to the patient, anesthesia, and complications. The description of the surgery is supplemented with a wealth of commented photographs that will contribute to better orientation for the reader and understanding of the basic steps in performing the procedure. Minimum in Thoracic Surgery is not a monograph for a narrow circle of readers, but a practical handbook for daily use.
