Heavenly and thus unusual, but all the more amazing views of the landscapes of Bohemia, Moravia, and Silesia through the eyes of a powered paraglider pilot. The photographs are complemented by the author's observations and comments. For ten years, pilot and photographer Jiří Jiroušek cruised the airspace above the Czech Republic in his powered paraglider, searching for – in his words – pleasing views for the eye. He then recorded them in a 'box around his neck' – his medium-format digital SLR camera. He flew forty thousand kilometers and took tens of thousands of photographs. The most interesting and beautiful, atmospheric and poetic images, with stories and humor, gave rise to a representative photographic publication, whose title CELESTIAL CZECHIA not only expresses the direction of the view from above but also that our homeland, often shrouded in morning fog or evening haze, is truly otherworldly beautiful.
