Description
This Czech-language guide explains how movement supports the brain, including memory, emotions and learning. It briefly describes child development, children’s responses and three basic sensory systems, and explains how persistent primitive reflexes can contribute to neurodevelopmental delays and affect school skills. Difficulties with reading, writing and arithmetic do not necessarily have to remain fixed. Physical activities and exercises can reorganise the brain and support learning, and suitable movement may help children improve reading, writing and arithmetic. The book offers a range of exercises and activities for use with children during the preschool years, helping prepare them for compulsory schooling. It is intended for parents, teachers, assistants and other professionals. The author’s earlier book provides a more detailed description of the sensory systems, signs of their dysfunction and further exercise ideas.
