Experts and laypeople alike often wonder whether history has any internal logic, to what extent individual historical events are interconnected (through space, time, personalities), or whether each event had its own cause and effect. In this work titled Adventures of History, the author attempts to delve into these and similar mysteries. The presented book of ten stories from Czech history opens with the period associated with the legendary prince and judge Krok and further explores events that the author considers pivotal. Each of them contains something dramatic, encompassing love and hatred, cruelty and treachery, friendship and enmity. If the reader pays close attention, they will find answers to some of these questions. At the same time, they can become acquainted with an unconventional authorial perspective on their interpretation.
